For April, we decided to keep with our locavore reading, including any of the 3 we started with:
Deep Economy by Bill McKibben
Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan
Animal Vegetable Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver
The library now has copies of all three of these books.
If you have read these, the other suggestions were Michael Pollan's Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World, or Second Nature: A Gardener's Education, or his latest, In Defense of Food, which is his follow-up to Omnivore's Dilemma. Full Moon Feast: Food and Hunger Connection, by Jessica Prentice was another suggestion. Or read anything else you want to read and come share with us at our next meeting, on April 30th at the library.
